"Should I sign up for Puppy Kindergarten or Family Dog I?" If you cannot make the first night for the class that best fits your schedule, please call the office at 86 so we can either schedule a makeup 1st class or so you can attend a different first class. This informative seminar is required as you will receive all the class handouts, reading materials and several important homework assignments. The first class is an orientation for owners only - your puppies can stay home. Please note that your puppy does NOT have to have a RABIES vaccination to start this class if he/she is not yet old enough to have received their rabies vaccine. Classes are small in size, fun for you and your puppy, and very effective! This class teaches all of the same skills that are taught in Family Dog I (sit, down, stay, come when called, emergency recall, walk politely on lead, and more) with emphasis placed on puppy behaviors like inappropriate mouthing and biting, as well as management issues and socialization. Puppy Kindergarten is an introductory class for puppies 5 months old or younger at the start of class.
